Jose Delbo is an 88-year-old comic artist whose professional career spans over 70 years and includes work on nearly every iconic comic series we know and love like Wonder Woman, Superman, Batman, Aquaman, Green Arrow, The Transformers and The Thundercats to TV show adaptations like The Twilight Zone, The Brady Bunch, Hogan’s Heroes, Buck Rogers, The Mod Squad, Disney’s 101 Dalmatians, Little Mermaid and the Mighty Ducks, to American Westerns such as Billy the Kid, Judge Colt and the Lone Ranger. Delbo even illustrated the now infamous Beatles Yellow Submarine comic book.
For the past 2 years, Delbo has been focused on creating works exclusively for the NFT space collaborating with some of the top artists in the space and continuing to evolve his art in the process.
For this newest NFT release, A Boring Game Of Billiards, Delbo has collaborated with 4 collectors, Akira, Friesframe, Sven and Seth Gabel to create a new piece using Bored Ape Yacht Club apes owned by those collectors and Delbo. The Bored Apes are depicted in an interpretation of the famous piece “The Hustler” by Cassius Marcellus Coolidge.
Next, Delbo has created a piece called Death - The Rider which depicts his classic creation, Death. Created in 2020, Death … No Escape was the first known original NFT comic book and the Death character has a special place in NFT history. Jose Delbo collectors will have a special chance to enter this drawing which will be open for 2 hours. The first edition will be reserved for Jose Delbo.
Finally, the collection features a very special collaboration between Delbo and Apollo NFT Studios called When Worlds Collide. Each collector who purchases a When Worlds Collide piece will receive a Satoshi’s Legions - The Legionnaires avatar. Delbo has hinted that this drop is just the beginning for Captain Apemo in the Satoshiverse and big things are coming. Drawing/Auctions will open at 6:30 PM EST. Drawings will be open for 2 hours, Ranked auction will be open for 1 hour. Minimum Bid increase is 20$ and any bid made in the last 5 minutes will extend the auction for 5 additional minutes.
Open Editions will open at 7 PM EST and be open for 15 minutes only!
Limited Edition Burns will open at 6:30 PM EST and be open for 20 hours, until 2:30 PM EST. This will give plenty of time to enter into the open edition burns linked below. Please read carefully in the graphic on the page to see which burn you qualify for!
Open Edition Burns will be open at 6:30 PM EST and be open until 6 PM EST. They are extended 3.5 additional hours past the Limited Edition Burns linked above to allow users who do not win to then enter into these Open Editions if they wish.
Please only enter into drawings you are 100% sure you wish to participate in, check the limited edition burns first. If you do not win the limited edition burns, you will have plenty of time to participate in the open edition burn afterwards!
