Each work in this collection invites the viewer to enter an enigmatic and unknown world, where the hidden and the inexplicable merge with imagination and mystery.
Six artists collaborated to create this collection:
Karen Medina
Is a multidisciplinary artist whose main passion is painting. She started in the world of physical art and broke her horizons by taking her work to the digital realm. Her artwork focuses on exploring themes related to the body and how emotions impact our physical experience. She also addressed issues related to women and their sexual freedom, challenging the taboos that surround them. Deeply influenced by the circus arts and her connection to the body, she incorporates imaginary elements and beings from the circus world to express ideas and situations that resonate with her real life .Her artistic journey has been shaped by her desire to push boundaries and explore the interplay between traditional and digital media. Her work reflects a deep understanding of the human experience and seeks to challenge societal norms while celebrating individuality and self-expression.
Alejandro R Rozan
Cuban artist and tarot reader based in the US. His artistic work is inspired by the archetypes of the tarot and the imagery of sacred art. In his work, he employs a variety of mediums including watercolor, pencil, pen, and digital art. Alejandro is best known for being author and illustrator of the Tarot des Ambiguites, a tarot deck published by Artisan Tarot.
His work has been featured in publications such as the Esotoracle, Azoth and Kronikas, L'Inventaire Imaginaire. Recently Alejandro has been active in the NFT community which has allowed him to explore 2D animation taking his art to a new dimension, that of motion and sound.
Adolfo Chavez
Multidisciplinary artist. Resident in Mexico City, his works represent his fascination for the complexity of the human being; his beauty, his relationship with himself, his search for knowledge, control and adaptation in the universe. Many of his works are created spontaneously through rhythmic and fluid brushstrokes giving life to characters, identities hidden behind the face. His creation in each face is a mask created with colors and chaotic strokes, forming a voice and a bridge between the soul and the body.
Estrujamentes
Digital artist, writer and illustrator and psychologist. Through Estrujamentes, María Páramo gives rise to a visual and poetic device of mental transgression, one which creates and recreates fields of experimentation to bring people closer to systems of thought deemed alternative to traditional ones. Her aim is to provoke meaning without the need for rationalization. As a digital artist she has integrated her technical-poetic works into her visual ones, creating images and texts in unison with one another. She chooses digital collage as a painting technique, and reflective writing as an opportunity for subjectification and resistance to a predominantly rational world. Her aesthetics is one of reflective gestures: at the same time cryptic, cosmic and metaphysical.
Payos
Payos is a Mexican contemporary artist and teacher from Oaxaca with a bachelor’s degree in The Visual Arts from the University of Benito Juarez de Oaxaca. Her interests revolve around the exploration of human emotions through portraiture. With her drawings and paintings, Paola tries to recreate the connection between the world of the human and the realm of the non-human. She helps us understand how we inhabit certain spaces or relate to what accompanies us when inhabiting the world, other bodies, other species, etc. Her works have been exhibited both nationally and internationally, her last exhibition taking place at the Mexican Embassy in Amsterdam, Holland. In addition to painting, she also dedicates her time to various multimedia projects, recently venturing into the creation of NFTs.
Sohobiit
Sohobiit is a video game artist active since 2016, her career took a turn in 2020 when she discovered the world of Cryptoart and became a multidisciplinary artist. Since then, she has been actively involved in the Web3 NFT community and strongly believes that art and Web3 are a portal full of opportunities for all inquiring minds. Sohobiit continues to explore new forms of artistic expression in this exciting new digital world.
