Prolific artist Marinel Sheu, brings forth another magical collection.This time, he shines a light on the brief glimpses of beauty, inspired by his everyday life. For an artist as mysterious and reclusive as Marinel, this has got to be by far his most intimate and personal collection. He invites us to his favorite places, to his city, and his home. We join him at his most comfortable yet most vulnerable. It feels like the scent of the sea, tickling your lungs on a morning jog. But ultimately it feels like a workaholic taking a break to enjoy the sunset. You can feel the untensing effect this body of work gives off. It's like a deep breath after a long swim. It is an ode to everyday life. To simple pleasures. To finding beauty in the patterns of a routine, and to finding excitement in slow organic change. During the time period of creating this collection, the artist tells, he made it a habit to take a few minutes every day to gaze upon the sunset. Everyday the sun rises and sets differently. There is something poetic about light finding a different path to our eyes everyday, to complete the same mission. Just like a man taking a break everyday from his work to gaze at the places he calls home, as the sunset puts different-colored tints on them. Lastly, there is something poetic and special, when a man who doesn't expose himself to the public, invites the world to see life through his own lenses. And the world shares the vibe!
Marinel Sheu aka CEO of VIBE ( born 1996 ) is an Albanian artist based in Dublin, He is known for his signature sunflower artworks or the cinematic evening sunset.
