Released Mar 29, 2023
This is the second installment of the collaboration by Glen Wexler and Andy Burgess, who first met while both exhibiting artworks during Modernism Week in Palm Springs, California in 2015. Andy’s large-scale paintings of transformative interpretations of modern buildings included houses designed by Glen’s father, renown Mid-Century Modern architect Donald Wexler. In turn, Glen transforms Andy’s paintings with insightful color variations and animation.
The winner of Wexler Steel House (MCM rediscovered) will have the ability to deconstruct the animated piece into its 9 composite frames as individual NFTs once the reserve price is met - inspired by the "shatter" feature pioneered by Transient Labs.
The 1/1 auction will begin at 6:30pm ET and run for 24 hours. Soft-reserve to deconstruct the animated version for its 9 still images is $3,000 USD.
The ranked auctions will begin at 6:30pm ET and run for 90 minutes.
Collectors that place bids on the Ranked Auctions within the first 10 minutes or the last 5 minutes + overtime will receive bidders editions.
Winning bids exceeding $900 USD for the ranked auctions will be eligible to receive physical prints such as the one below.
