Through this collection we make a graphic reinterpretation of the story "The Wild Swans”, this is a story by Hans Christian Andersen about a princess who rescues her 11 brothers from a spell cast by an evil queen who out of spite turns his eleven stepchildren into magnificent swans.
Wild nature instinctively resists and holds on tight when circumstances force us to suffer hardship, instinct always encourages us to keep going no matter what. The story also reminds us of the need in our own lives to find the herd before the happiness of the sense of "belonging". At the same time and as an ambiguity, it opens our eyes to the possibility of exile as a gift, of leaving where one does not belong because one belongs.
This collection was created using the "cadavre exquis" technique, a technique used by surrealist artists, in which the artists initiate and intervene with each other in a work in turns, creating a collaborative piece of art.
If you buy the complete collection (3 pieces) you will receive a fourth piece for free; this piece is in Gif format. If you purchase multiple sets of all three pieces, note that you will only be able to claim a fourth free piece as the limit is one free piece per account.
Visual artist, weaver of symbols, creator of poems in images. Art is his way of speaking without words... In his work he reveals the secrets of his world using universal symbols, figures and fantasy. He has dedicated a large part of his professional life to traditional art, developing his own style through drawing and painting, which he has transferred to the digital world..
Digital artist, writer, illustrator and psychologist. She gives rise to a visual and poetic device of mental transgression, one which creates and recreates fields of experimentation to bring people closer to systems of thought deemed alternative to traditional ones. Her aim is to provoke meaning without the need for rationalization. She chooses digital collage as a painting technique, and reflective writing as an opportunity for subjectification and resistance to a predominantly rational world.
