i’m bored with stereotypes.

what a photograph is SUPPOSED to be.

how a photograph is SUPPOSED to look.

the rules / the frames / the settings.

i set out to show that a camera is merely a tool to paint just like a brush with oil, a pen with ink, a coloured pencil, a crayon.

to capture stillness WITH motion in a world where most try to capture motion with stillness.

to depict the speed of life + capture characters who you will never see again in this lifetime or the next.

PHOTOGRAPHYSBORING opens at 11a EST on Friday November 3, 2023 for 24 hours and coincides with my first ever solo exhibition IRL at FICE Gallery in Salt Lake City, Utah. This digital counterpart includes 5 blind editions @ $55 and 1 ranked auction edition of 5 collaborative glitch piece with Trizzy Trunk. A bidder's edition will be rewarded to those who place bids in the first & last 10 minutes of the auction. Bidding starts at $0 with increments of $10.

At FICE 5 physical 1/1s of 48x32" size on canvas will be offered @ $555 in addition to 5 editions of 5 @ 17x11" size on glossy photo paper. Collectors of the 1/1s are entitled to the respective on-chain certificate of ownership here on Nifty Gateway. GRAMS (b.1985) is a visual fabricator from New York whose versatile body of work spans filmmaking, photography, sound design, motion graphics, and illustration.

His artistic journey began at a young age but consciously became a major pursuit during adolescence when the artist started experimenting with a camera that had been left unused by his father – with the newfound passion primarily fueled by capturing moments with friends while snowboarding.

To date, some of the artist's top achievements include a sold-out genesis drop on Nifty Gateway, Sloika's all-time high sale of 2 eth, and having his work displayed in Italy, Japan, Canada, and America. Perhaps more importantly, GRAMS’ creative lens has enabled him to travel the world capturing some of the most talented snowboarders and musicians alive.

Through his art GRAMS aims to capture the fleeting experiences earth has to offer in hopes of inspiring viewers to put down their phones and explore the here and now.
