In Art: Particularly favored in ancient and Renaissance architecture, a composition that unites chaining parts together through a series of depths, pillars, and orders. Often used in multi-layered buildings, as exemplified by the Colosseum.

This piece was created by employing Imprimatura, the first piece in this collection, as the base layer for a kind of digital velatura. Glowing, semi-transparent glazes of digital paint were washed over it in several layers, after which it was animated frame by frame using a variety of applications for simulating brushstrokes. The artist manually manipulated the frames to desired effect, then worked with the result in After Effects, applying Artificial Intelligence (Neural Enhancement Suite) and Curve Tracing (Satori Curve Tracer). Its process and aesthetic are intentionally similar to the artist's 2021 gif works, each collected by a patron that has received this piece. The sketch lines are visible, dance with living energy, and have begun to glow. It is the third layer in a journey that mirrors the artist's life.
