Fearless Girl is a statue created in 2017 as a tribute to International Women’s Day, and represents feminine strength. This image was created in the FiDi district, where I lived when I first arrived in New York City to chase my dreams in 2010. At that time, I was fearless but couldn’t afford a camera. Now I am able to capture moments of strength and fearlessness with my camera in those same streets I grew up in.
Gabriela is a Latina New York City based artist. She has been taking photographs of people and places since she was 11 years old. Her passion comes from images that illustrate beautiful stories. She provides her subject with the space they need to embrace and celebrate the most important part of themselves.
