SACHA JAFRI: Under the Light of the Moon

This 1/1 NFT animation is derived from the Burj Al Arab oil-on-canvas painting, from Sacha Jafri's 'UNESCO World Heritage Sites Collection' and 'Art Maze World Tour'. After being unveiled at the first art exhibition on the Burj Al Arab helipad, then becoming the first art collection ever to be unveiled on Mount Everest, before its official opening at UNESCO's Headquarters in Paris, this collection aims to reconnect humanity through the heritage sites of our world. The artwork is a stripped-back essence of pure intention, energy, empathy and love.

"As the painted mark transcends this world, reconnecting us to ourselves, our creator, each other, and ultimately to the soul of the Earth, we see a reflected past, a more conscious present, towards our newly inspired future, creating a better world for our children and for all humanity," says Jafri.

ARTIST BIO:

Multi award-winning British artist Sacha Jafri, (age 45) is described as 'The Pioneer of Post-Modern Magical Realist Painting', a new genre that has established him as one of the most important living artists today. Recently described by Forbes as 'An Art-World HeavyWeight', alongside Jeff Koons, Hockney, Kiefer, Richter, and Hirst', Jafri is the youngest artist in history to have a museum-based 20-year retrospective world tour. His recent painting 'The Journey of Humanity', was described as 'A Modern-Day Sistine Chapel' and saw him enter the Guinness World Record books, with this monumental 18,000 square foot painting that became the second most expensive painting, at $62million USD, to be sold by a living artist. He is now widely regarded as one of the leading protagonists in a new wave of artistic powerhouses. Jafri's two latest commissions, 'Heart-Piece', commissioned by Selenian and in partnership with NASA & Spacebit, will see Jafri beat Jeff Koons to the art world's top spot by creating the first work of art to land on the surface of our moon, and his 'Art-Maze', commissioned by UNESCO, made up of 50 of Jafri's painted depictions of the 50 most important UNESCO World Heritage Sites, in celebration of their 50th Anniversary, are now seen as two of the most important commissions of this century. After beating the world record for the most amount of open-edition NFTs sold in under a minute at Cannes Film Festival, his following NFT series with Rolls Royce as well as this exhibition with MORROW Collective, have been eagerly anticipated.
