Saatchi Art is pleased to present “What Binds Us” – a fine art exhibition of NFTs featuring a world-class trio of digital artists. This series of artwork will be the first of its kind for Saatchi Art as Nifty Gateway Publishers.

About the Drop

We live in a fast-paced society that runs on the internet, and new information travels instantaneously from one corner of the world to the next. From news stories and soundbites to television and popular culture, we consume vast amounts of media in an instant. Smartphones and wireless internet allow us to easily send a message or share a thought, in seconds. Further, social media apps with billions of users a day provide us with countless ways to engage and stay in touch with others.

The ability to connect with others is right at our fingertips, but is that connection meaningful? Constant communication keeps us engaged and in-the-know, but does it bring us closer together?

For this debut drop with Nifty Gateway, Saatchi Art asked three of our top artists to answer this question: what does meaningful human connection in the modern world look like to you?

Drop Mechanics

• 3 best-in-class digital artists, hailing from three different corners of the world

First-Come, First-Serve Phygitals

Holders of each work can access a first-come, first-serve redeemable physical limited edition framed print of their NFT. Five phygitals will be available per work, while supplies last. Five phygitals will be available per work, while supplies last. Print redemptions will open on January 1.

Richard Chappelow

Richard Chappelow is a multimedia artist based in Leeds, UK. He explores a wide range of mediums in his practice, such as graphic design, audio production, digital photography, film, and many more.

Barbara Alperowicz

Barbara Alperowicz lives and works in Madrid, Spain. Although she primarily creates physical drawings and paintings, Barbara has begun exploring digital art and incorporating NFTs into her fine art practice.

Yuya Saito

Yuya Saito is an artist born in Miyagi, Japan. Having started skateboarding since age 14, Yuya explores the relationship between humans and city life in his work. He currently lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
