Utopia or Dystopia? 2021 was a year of massive realizations, opening a lot of people’s eyes to the potential of Web3 and the impact it can have on our world. Yet, just like other disruptive moments in our past, the enthusiasm generated by the possibility of a more equal, free, accessible and independent world, can, in this context, be grounded by the realization that the shiny part of the tech revolution brings with it a correspondingly heavy shadow. We all remember how empowered we felt by the possibilities brought by Web2, including social media and a massive access to information, among other ground-breaking developments... and we all know where this ultimately brought us. In a time in which even brands are beginning to occupy the space of digital assets such as NFTs, the inevitability of mass adoption of these systems is just around the corner, leading to unprecedented possibilities regarding their use and how they relate to the concept of community, making it increasingly evident that great changes are on the way. It is up to us decide whether these will culminate in a utopia or a dystopia.

This is why I wanted this to be the last mint of the year.
