UnderAqua Mint Pass by Kenny Scharf

UnderAqua is a futuristic, radioactive, underwater universe from the mind of Kenny Scharf. Kenny is one of the most prominent artists of modern American history, and early adopter of NFTs from within the world of fine art. He began his career during the New York era of pop art, inspired by elements such as WWII and the fear of nuclear war - with works often including pop culture icons, such as the Flintstones, the Jetsons, or caricatures of middle-class Americans in an apocalyptic science fiction setting. His style of work and level of creativity are irreplaceable, while his trademark characters and fictional psychedelic like environments have driven Kenny’s success over the course of his career from street art and fashion to NFTs and digital art.

UnderAqua is Kenny Scharf’s first generative art collection, providing a unique web3 collectible that combines hand drawn painting with generative art. Each 1/1 UnderAqua work is assembled from hand painted works by Kenny at his Los Angeles studio; in a unique process where Kenny painted different traits and body combinations on a clear acetate. Each physical painting was then scanned in at 4k, and aligned manually to guarantee that every property fit fluidly into the varying bodies within the collection.

The whitelist presale for the Open Edition will begin on Wednesday, December 21, at 12pm ET and run for 6 hours. Collectors that hold at least one nifty by Kenny Scharf will be added to the whitelist. Snapshot of holders will take place on Tuesday, December 20, at 5pm ET. One mint per user.
