ThankYouX presents “Holding On” -- a one-of-a-kind exhibition of his most recent work, reimagining the mundane with expressions in both the physical and digital space. “Holding On,” is a multi-platform piece that honors the heritage of Bonham’s and their iconic position in the automotive auction space. It explores novel conceptual ideas about museum installations, challenging and evolving traditional notions of how it can be created and experienced. Every piece is an installation inside of an institutional space, offering the experience of an installation without having to stage the exhibition itself. Through Web3 technology, ThankYouX brings to life a project with nuance, complexity, and vivacity. A project that normally would have required years of development to execute, brought to audiences now in a fraction of that time.

“This multi-platform piece is a very personal reflection of finding beauty in something that was left behind,” begins the artist known globally as ThankYouX. “This truck was once a treasured piece, a representation of a life well-lived. Its essence is full of vivid memories…first kisses, family trips, moving to new places. I see those memories in the dings and scratches on the chassis, the bubbles of rust in the paint. I have lovingly restored it, bringing it back to life as physical and digital art pieces. The memories contained within remain intact and have been translated into something new. Something that will last a lifetime.”
