Melbourne based artist Giant Swan manipulates modern VR technology to create shapes and colors using his full body movements. Since 2017, Giant Swan’s emerging career finds itself at the intersections of how digital art is experienced, Giant Swan creates works spanning multiple media and a wide breadth of emerging experiences, These have been exploring the potential of virtual reality from its infancy to what is now a rapidly maturing medium.

His work navigates the language that his tools encourage, acknowledging his imperfect movement as a human. This imprint converts to 3D art, organic in nature and instantly familiar. Giant Swan’s art explores a mirror of ourselves in motion within the spectrum of human emotion inside his unique worlds.

Giant Swan returns to Nifty Gateway with the sequel to the original “polaroids” series A series that bridges his virtual worlds to the present in both digital and physical. Acting as a bridge and invite to experience both the unannounced and highly anticipated native VR works, “Some memories are worth keeping” begins this journey by putting something from his worlds into the hands of his audience. The collection explores key interactions between each other, the world around us and being a visitor to time.

“Some memories are worth keeping” collectors will be contacted via email on 8 June 2021 by the artist to begin the redemption process. Each physical is made to order and may take 6 weeks or more to receive after initiating the redemption process.
