Version ONE.0 by Proximity x Mohammed Omran x Lacza x The Pyramid Watch

Proximity is one of the largest curators and independent record labels in Electronic Dance Music, with roughly 9 million subscribers and 4B+ views on YouTube. The platform has amassed over 1000 videos and helped rise to artists such as 3LAU, DJ Snake, Illenium, Galantis and many more. For over 10 years, Proximity has continued to push quality content from up and coming artists, and is continuing to innovate within the digital realm. Creating the first ever three day long virtual music festival “Digital Mirage” in April of 2020, Proximity, alongside Brownies & Lemonade, curated a lineup of 50 acts including Kaskade, Gryffin, Louis The Child, Tiesto, and Alison Wonderland to name a few. The three renditions of Digital Mirage streamed to over 6M attendees and generated over 400,000 dollars for multiple charities, helping those impacted directly by the pandemic. Events have been offline as well, as Proximity has been working alongside Hakkasan/Omnia in Las Vegas to co-brand some of the biggest shows for the likes of Zedd, Calvin Harris, Martin Garrix, Steve Aoki, and Kaskade for over 4 years. Most importantly, the brand has been synonymous within the art community since its inception. Hundreds of independent artists have created the backgrounds for channel uploads including Beeple, who made a Proximity Everyday (“Prox”), which collectively elevated and set the tone for what the branding of Proximity would ultimately be and for what you see today.
Aboutthe Artists: Now, with Proximity’s first ever NFT drop entitled “Version ONE.0”, Proximity assembled a diverse and international team of three incredible artists. Lacza, Mohammed, and The Pyramid Watch, have each been working with Proximity for over 4 years - creating the fundamental aesthetic of our brand through their music videos, lyric videos, and static/dynamic artworks. They have also done incredible work individually, as well as creating works for Avicii, Imagine Dragons, David Guetta, HBO, Universal, Warner, Sony, and more. This team has creatively come together to bring 6 extremely unique pieces to life for the debut drop entitled “Version ONE.0”. Why are we doing a drop and why should you care as a potential collector? For the same reasons why we started our record label 4 years ago to undercut major record labels and give fairer deals to artists that signed with us. We want to use this opportunity to reinvest back in to the community by helping artists own the majority of their masters (tracks that they release) and also fully fund it by their fans now that NFT’s and the future of the tech will allow it.
