From PR1MAL CYPHER, 'Especially in times like these, when we are increasingly confronted with the finite nature of things in the face of a pandemic crisis, many things cannot be planned as we would like to. Basically, there is not much that can be planned in general, because life is paving its own way. So it was with this mini-series of CYB3RGRACES, which originally and after the completion of the first painting 'Grace of Faith' was to become part of the '2084' series. As it turned out, however, the intention was to develop an independent series with unmistakable stylistic elements of the great designer and painter Alphonse Mucha. Mucha is known to me since early days as a special artist, who set new standards with his aesthetics and the claim on my part was to successfully achieve an amalgamation of certain Art Deco elements with a haunting Cyberpunk style. The result: the graces. Why they were associated with the 3 virtues 'faith, hope and love' is a mystery to me. It just came to me and stood in the room all of a sudden. Perhaps they are meant to remind us that despite all adverse circumstances and against the pain that life sometimes holds in store for us and wants to force us to transform ourselves, we must not lose exactly these virtues. Because even if the pain can bring frustration, negative thoughts and emotions, as well as supposed hopelessness, there is a new dawn at the end of this episode. In suffering there is very often the illusion that this is not the case; that resignation seems to be inevitable... and that the dawn is no longer approaching. Herein lies apparent powerlessness, and not far from that lies anger and hatred. Just then it is important to become aware of one's own strength; one's own power and energy of faith, which looks hopefully and lovingly with confidence into a better future, in whose Now a better Self is in the center. Maybe... maybe the Graces want to remind you of that...'
