POP GEOMETRY NFTs are a collaboration by Glen Wexler and Andy Burgess who first met while exhibiting artworks during Modernism Week in Palm Springs, California in 2015. Andy’s large-scale paintings are transformative interpretations of modern buildings including houses designed by Glen’s father, renowned Mid-Century Modern architect Donald Wexler.
The Wexler Steel House is an iconic Palm Springs residence known worldwide for its innovative design and groundbreaking use of steel construction for prefab housing. The folded plate roof has become synonymous with Mid-Century Modern design in Palm Springs, a haven for MCM architecture. This work embraces the transformative nature of art and the influence of prior generations. Andy Burgess transforms the architecture of Donald Wexler, and, in turn, Glen Wexler transforms Andy’s painting while referencing pop icon Andy Warhol.
