Released Sep 12, 2022
A collaboration by Glen Wexler and Andy Burgess who first met while exhibiting artworks during Modernism Week in Palm Springs, California in 2015. Andy’s large-scale paintings are transformative interpretations of modern buildings including houses designed by Glen’s father, renowned Mid-Century Modern architect Donald Wexler. In turn, Glen transforms Andy’s paintings into colorful and kinetic animations.
The winner of Palm Springs Electric will have the ability to deconstruct the animated piece into its 9 composite frames as individual NFTs once the reserve price is met - inspired by the "shatter" feature pioneered by Transient Labs.
The 1/1 auction will begin at 6:30pm ET and run for 24 hours. Soft-reserve to deconstruct the animated version for its 9 still images is $3,000.
The ranked auction will begin at 6:30pm ET and run for 60 minutes.
The open edition will go live at 7pm ET for 30 minutes.
