UK based VR artist, Metageist, continues to hand sculpt 3D artworks for display in the metaverse with a light hearted exploration of emergent life in a simulation. Each piece has a bespoke soundscape created by Sigil. In chapter 2 of the Metaphyla story, what started out as light hearted free-form self expression in VR art programs has now evolved along with my experience of the metaverse and we’re starting to see 8 distinct digital species. Each new drop of Metaphyla sculptures will show a reimagining and therefore growth over time. Limited only by the imagination of the simulation in which they exist the creatures are free to choose novel divergent paths of growth. Weaving landscapes, becoming environments and manifesting new life. Who knows what they’ll become next.
