Meditative Monuments

Renowned digital artist Zachary Darren Corzine and genre bending indie-pop duo slenderbodies present their first collaborative NFT, ‘Meditative Monuments’. Three distinct monuments have been created, Pharaoh, Pillar and Planet. Each of these monuments feature a unique procedural 3-D generation process, keyed to the tonal balance of three different audio pieces by slenderbodies.

In this piece, a beam of light dances around the monuments, catalyzing floral and vegetative growth. The background breathes and blends, and phases of a glowing moon like orb line a back wall. All of these elements are keyed to the tonal balance of a song crafted by slenderbodies. Although only individual monuments are rendered here, infinite possibilities exist through the procedural coding process as it combines with the music.

The music was created with the project's ethos in mind. They are infinitely loopable, and contain organic textures such as guitars, rubber bands, and various outdoor ambiances that are manipulated and molded digitally. They aim to capture a serene joyousness, and are full enough dynamically to interact in a meaningful way with the rendered environment of each monument.

slenderbodies is Max & Benji, two multi-instrumentalists, producers and songwriters. They aim to create worlds through music, and maintain a passion for their project to be a place of healthy escape and rejuvenation. They love experimentation, and pushing the bounds of what can be done in the space between organic and synthetic.

Zachary is an award-winning 3D Designer / Director with a focus on experimental hyper-real animations. He is constantly pushing outside his comfort zone to explore and evolve new approaches to his work. He has created work for brands including Apple, Disney, ESPN, Google, the NBA, and Nike.
