ABOUT THE ARTIST

Jet - My name is Joey, but most people know me as Jet. I’m an artist and graphic designer from the Chicagoland area. I began as a portrait artist in high school rendering life as we see it and fell in love with creating ever since. I stayed with realism as I learned the shape and proportions of the human figure. It wasn’t until I had graduated that I found digital art, which affected my work drastically. As times changed, the transition to digital reinforced my drive to create, opening up a new world to conquer. My style transferred to a more surreal presentation of my experiences throughout life. Symbolism and dark themes appear in my work as I express memories and reveries from my life through an exaggerated kaleidoscopic lens.
