Dulk offers us what he imagines and builds from the fascinating stimuli of true beauty: that of sunrise, the flight of a bird, the incredible shapes and colors of plants and animals. His imagination is like that quintessence (the ether), that subtle fifth element which penetrates everything. Thus, the constant transformation, the metamorphosis, the change… of species, spaces, materials, flow across his works with an ease as irrepressible as captivating. This is perhaps his great secret: that constant, committed dynamic of a union with things, of making visible that multiform, changing Whole of which we never cease to be part of.
Dulk’s imagination is not oneiric, I would even dare to say there is in it a certain automatism and other concepts connected with surrealism, his imagination is rooted in a firm ethical attitude and a clear critical position towards some of the secular actions of human nature, especially the capacity for destruction of that which is our first and last Truth. Extinct or endangered species, singular places threatened by death, deforestation, uncontrolled burning… Global warming deserves special mention; it is a relatively new phenomenon which is threatening the future of the next generations.
