Legends by Paul Reid, explores the enduring power and allure of mythical creatures in our shared cultural history. The collection includes two pieces (plus a black and white study) that capture the essence of this theme - one depicting the Minotaur in the Labyrinth, and the other featuring a mythical beast on the shores of the Island of Circe, staring out at a modern-day shipwreck.
The paintings in "Legends" aim to showcase the timeless appeal of mythological tales and the continued relevance of these stories in our modern world. They allow us to explore our collective history and connect with ancient cultures in a new and exciting way. Through these paintings, we are reminded that myths are not just old stories, but living and breathing parts of our cultural heritage that continue to inspire and fascinate us today.
