Released Nov 16, 2022
Gonza is proud to present Kinesomania, the new collection by Louis Dazy, a conceptual photographer and director based in Paris, France.
Kinesomania is a compulsion for movement, an excessive desire to be on the move.
Through Kinesomania, Louis Dazy wanted to explore two sides: being on the move and yet immobile, two things that are usually in opposition but that we often witness in the real world. Who’s never sat still looking through the window on a train or a flight? Lost in thoughts yet moving incredibly fast. These moments are often overlooked but still, he thinks they play a big part in life, countless times he has found himself having epiphanies by just taking the time to sit back and phase out. This is what Kinesomania is about: taking the time you need to move even further.
This collection opens on November 16th at 5 pm ET for 24 hrs.
Ranked Auctions: Minimum Bid $100. Minimum Bid Increment of $10. Every time the leaderboard changes and there are less than 5 minutes remaining, then the time remaining gets reset to 5 minutes.
Louis Dazy is a conceptual photographer and director based in Paris, France. His approach combines portraiture, street photography and light work to create highly evocative, cinematic images. Working predominantly on film, Dazy brings layered meaning to his images by utilizing a process of double exposure. These images are created out of velvety darkness, glowing neon and starry sparks of light, carrying all the potency of a dreamy memory or still from within a filmic narrative.
