I, like the world, have been growing a lot. And also like the world, I’ve been learning. This year has been a rollercoaster blasting from a volcano for me as I’ve tasted joy and endured grief. Pain beyond even my wildest imaginations, and happiness and freedom I never thought I had. There is something pure in the in between, in the moment of pause, of recollection, in “about to”. This is a collection of paintings that represent that for me. They are my in-betweens. Made and finished between Lagos and London, these paintings all came like a rush for me, matching the times I was in. And I’m happy to finally share them with you. Thank you, always, for everything.
