Using my trad background in anatomy drawing and classical portraiture I create painted works and photography based on what's happening here and now. I've been in the NFT space for almost two years and have been living off internet bucks for the same amount of time.
As a pop artist I feel it's my responsibility to capture current events in what feels like the digital renaissance powered by blockchain technology and fueled by ever growing crypto communities on twitter. I am a techno human, a child of the internet embracing new technologies and fighting for pop art to be updated and am against censorship in art on social media.
The Balloon BB "INFLATION' collection parameters I set myself were:
Figure out a way to show sex without it getting flagged by the algorithm
Speak about rising inflation in irl markets
Create a character that is versatile with iconic smiley head
Engage with the audience through bright pop colours and laughter
The balloon characters are based off rubber and shibari models from the MELB kink community, inspired by the contorted and shiny forms I turned them into my balloon bb's.
