Photographer Michael Prince and digital artist Yoshi Sodeoka have collaborated to produce this dynamic 15-second rendering of the cover of Forbes magazine’s 2021 international billionaires list. It depicts identical twin billionaires Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, pioneers on the frontier of cryptocurrency and the NFT art market. The work itself is being offered for sale as an NFT.
Miami native Prince studied photography in Florence, Italy before pursuing a career that combines fine art and commercial photography. His work has appeared in galleries and museums and he’s shot for Google, Pepsi and Bank of America. This is his eleventh cover shoot for Forbes.
Yoshi Sodeoka, originally from Japan, has lived and worked in New York City for three decades, producing neo-psychedelic videos, GIFs and prints that he has shown at the Centre Pompidou, the Tate Britain and the Museum of Modern Art. His work is in the permanent collection of the Whitney Museum of American Art and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
The Forbes story about the Winklevii describes how, after losing an epic battle with Mark Zuckerberg over ownership of Facebook and being shunned in Silicon Valley, the twins transformed into budding bitcoin billionaires at the center of not only the future of money, but the creative economy, and quite possibly a new operating model for big tech itself.
