Extraweg is the artistic name of Oliver Latta. Oliver Latta is an artist and director born in Germany. Based in Berlin, he created Extraweg, a platform for his artistic expression that exploded on Instagram and went viral. He has nearly 1 million followers on Instagram due to the brilliant artworks he posts there. His unique style of artwork features a genre dubbed by the Nifty Gateway team as 'Digital Grotesque'. Extraweg uses eye popping animations designed to wow the viewer or even invoke a reaction of disgust. He was perhaps the first to use this genre, or certainly the first to bring mainstream attention to it.
