Space Grails presented by Axiom Space x Nifty Gateway x Transient Labs

Axiom Space, Transient Labs, and Nifty Gateway have collaborated to launch an inspiring collection called Space Grails, a remarkable fusion of art and space exploration. It features digital and physical works from 8 world-renowned web3 artists, each bringing their own unique style and passion for the unknown to the forefront of the art world. As part of the project, the participating artists will send a unique physical piece into space aboard Axiom Space's Ax-3 mission, creating an unprecedented connection between human creativity and the cosmos. At the same time, the artists will work with Transient Labs to create exclusive digital works, which will be sold on the Nifty Gateway platform on January 17th. This will allow enthusiasts to own a piece of this extraordinary cosmic odyssey.

Space Grails transcends traditional boundaries, seamlessly weaving together diverse art forms that showcase humanity's fascination with the mysteries of space. It serves as a vibrant canvas where the beauty of space is captured through the eyes and hands of these visionary artists and celebrates Axiom Space’s commitment to STEAM outreach and development.

The celestial collaboration is truly impressive, thanks to the talented artists participating in it. The roster of participating artists is truly stellar, with some of the most well-known names in the web3 art scene. One particularly noteworthy artist is Erick, who is also known as Snowfro. Erick is often referred to as the "Godfather of Generative Art," he is working with his partner Jordan Lyall of Prohibition Art to send a generative heart into space. Other luminaries like Jack Kaido and Dave Krugman have also made a name for themselves, featuring their work in prestigious art centers such as Christie's and Sotheby's. Jack Kaido is a digital abstract painter whose art explores abstract images through digitally-native works that aim to reflect their medium and their time. Dave is known for his original photography and critically acclaimed NFT collections, including Drive, Drip Drop, and ROLLS.

Amber Vittoria and MUMBOT are two talented artists who have each contributed their unique styles to the Space Grails collection. Both of them have worked with some of the biggest brands in the world. Amber has collaborated with MLB, Snapchat, Google, and others, while MUMBOT is an award winning independent artist with hand-crafted, thoughtful & intentional work, incorporating captivating characters and storytelling as well as the MUMBOT WORLD brand which includes self-produced plush, toys and misc. merchandise - available in 40+ specialty shops including Hot Topic & Box Lunch Gifts. Additionally, MUMBOT is known for founding and being dedicated to lifting up other artists through efforts with the international creative community, Ghost Club.Their respective collaborations with industry giants highlight their artistic skills and commercial appeal, adding a dynamic layer to the narrative of Space Grails.

Amid this artistic constellation, we find one of the youngest minds of the web3 ecosystem, 16-year-old Richard Zheng. Despite his youth, Zheng boasts collaborations with Fortune 500 brands and three sold-out NFT collections, proving that age is no barrier to reaching for the stars in the digital art realm. Dr. Sian Proctor, a Civilian Astronaut and a respected web3 artist, is completing this cosmic ensemble. She is a trailblazer as the first female commercial astronaut spaceship pilot and the first African American woman to serve as a mission pilot (on SpaceX’s Inspiration4 mission). Not only is she exploring the cosmos, but she's also painting it. She has become the first African-American artist to create in space.
