AREA Open Edition by Kidmograph

Released Oct 4, 2021

The start of these series were a bit different, I remember I wanted to focus on the concept of travels and landscapes, escaping scenes from the boredom and coldness of reality. Then as usual the idea began to evolve / change while I was learning a new technique, and that opened a new branch. The new branch led to a whole new universe that I named AREA.
AREA introduced a series of standalone scenes with specific situations of undefined sources. There's an exodus of old Mechas, desolated deserts of past civilizations, bare minimum humans, tunnels to check, endless gardens in silence, dystopian and empty, endless spaces.

AREA Is not a short, a game, a trailer, a movie or a TV series. It's none of them, it's all of them. They are fragments. Imaginary fragments born from future/past ideas, influences, stories that are tied to each other without actually belonging to anything. It belongs to creation itself.

There are many influences that I adapted to my own universe. Old cartoons, video games, comics and anime always influenced me as a kid.

You don't know exactly where these characters and scenes are coming from, but you sense like you know them. I wanted you to feel like you're watching saturday cartoons, or an old memory of watching a movie with your dad.

That's what I wanted to transmit with these brand new born series, that I hope you enjoy watching them as I did creating them.
Thank you.
