ROBNESS : VIRTUAL
@1robness
Multi-disciplinary artist ROBNESS has played a part in almost every major progression in the emerging NFT(Non-Fungible Token) and Cryptoart industry. With beginnings that started with a little known telegram group called the Rarepepe Blockchain Chat, he and a small crew of other enthusiasts began creating Pepe meme artwork which turned into a full blown global art community. This experiment was the very first open cryptoart trading phenomenon and showed proof of concept in the power that is now known as the NFT. From there he ventured into new territory by releasing more personal digital works on now well known cryptoart platforms such as Rareart.io(now defunct), Superrare.co, Knownorigin.io and Makersplace. He was infamously banned from minting on Superrare after he created the Trash .Gif entitled '64 Gallon Toter,' which after a lengthy write-up on Cointelegraph, inspired many other cryptoartists in response which engendered the #trashart movement/phenomenon. Hundreds to now thousands of artists have created trashcan art in homage to the original piece, with many reasons and interpretations for their approach. A historic top seller, along with Max Osiris and some others, they helped grow the collector base in Rarible.com when few would attempt to mint on there at the time and now Rarible has become one of the leading NFT marketplaces in the world. Also a musician, leading digital art collector, audio engineer, actor and author, Robness aims to fit the persona of a quintessential electric Renaissance man.
